next generation

final post and challenge for this weekend. I love http://sketchabilities because they always give multi photos sketches (or most of the time any way) and this helps me to get through my big pile of photos so that I can go and get some more printed and this week is no exception. Here is my example of their sketch
after saying a few weeks ago that yellow was not my go to colour I have been using it a bit on my layouts lately so go figure. I am looking forward to a long weekend next weekend being Easter and the opportunity to do lots more layouts. the week after that is another short week as the kids are going to Reese Maston  which means a family overnight in Wellington and the week after that is anzac on a Wednesday which will mean another short week lots more scrappin and lots more photos better look out... kirsty

not enough photos

Well its Sunday and time for a share of my latest layouts have done another two layouts this weekend. The first is for southerngirlschallenge where the challenge was to show us some journalling. This was a bit of a wide brief and not something that I add a lot to my pages but do need to try more. Here is my example
was struggling with colour blocking as previous mentioned in my blog but I believe this one looks pretty cool. On another positive note my blue red and yellow got designers top five choice I am stoked about that. anyway will have to link my other layout later as miss H is waiting to use the computer again. till next time Kirsty

The two of you

What wild weather we have had this week. My friend and I were suppose to go on a bus tour to the pink and white terraces on Thursday but by Tuesday they postponed it, witch meant that because I had already found a reliever for the day and I was sick of being inside with thirty preschoolers who just want to go out I decided to take the day off anyway and it turned out to be a super day so I got another layout achieved. This one over at http://challengemehappy  was to create a layout using your own embellishments so I made some accordion folded flowers. I love these and have done them a whole heap of times, in fact at Christmas time I made a wreath with 100s of these flowers and they looked pretty cool. Anyway do you think that I could get them to play nicely for this layout they kept popping up and unfolding and just weren't doing what I wanted them to I spent about 1 and a half hours making four flowers and then I went out for ten minutes and while I was out I had a brainwave why don't I attach them with the hot glue gun when I got home had those darn flowers set within two minutes. how annoying anyway enough here is the layout. don't you just love the ribbons on the edge. Must get on with more task will up date next week. Kirsty

memories of Christmas past

Second post for the day. this layout is for the sketch on http://sketchabilities  i am pretty pleased with this layout despite being called a Nana for using the word doily. I sprayed my doily because I was not happy with the white on my layout. then there was the banner which is not something that I do very often but will definitely try more of. Any way enough rambling lets see what you think.

joust battle

Well another week has past us by and aren't they flying. We are getting back to normal after been hit by the bug until the next drama. Am getting two layouts done each weekend at the moment, which is a good feeling, although my pile of photos doesn't seem to be getting smaller although the pile that needs to be printed is growing faster so I will just keep doing what I am doing. this weeks challenge at http://southerngirlschallenge  is to use the colours blue red and yellow. this was a challenge as I tend to stay away from yellow but I stepped outside my comfort zone,( I am finding that is becoming a normal these days) and created this.

spook night

http://sketchabilities. had a sketch challenge up this week. pop over and have a look. This is my take on the challenge
am really pleased to be able to scrap multiple photos and I won some Halloween papers that I was pleased to be able to use. I even tried drawing on my layout and although this may be just the branches of the trees I am not a confident drawer and so this was a challenge if you look closely though you can see the shakes but this all adds to the image. Thanks for looking.
kirsty.

count your blessings

Am really liking the challenges over at http://southerngirlschallenge This week we had to show them a secret. this was a bit of a stumbling block but after a very quick search on the net came up with this layout
had fun with the little envelope things and the banner up the top. Another family picture scrapped this doesn't happen often so I am pretty pleased with this layout. Thanks for looking.

My 007

The challenge over at challengemehappy is to do some masking. this was definitely a challenge for me and a couple of my layouts didn't quite make the cut  but here is the one that I am reasonably pleased with.

had lots of fun with the stamp pad and the stencil and made quite a mess but I am pleased with this layout. am posting three layouts this week because last week everybody in our house was sick and so I had a bit of catching up to do. Thanks for looking
